The news comes as British Airways prepares to launch its new short haul flights from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City airports to Malaga and Alicante.
“Barcelona and the Costa Brava region as a whole have become more popular with [Britons] in the last two to three years,” Louise Hall, business director of Primelocation.com stated. Additionally, she noted that Mallorca has experienced “huge popularity” in the past few years among holidaymakers seeking a second home. A number of new discount flights to popular summer holiday destinations are being launched by British Airways this summer.
Discount flights to Spain - including Malaga and Palma - will be available from Gatwick in summer 2008, the airline has announced. Additionally, discount flights to Alicante - a popular European summer hotspot - will be launched from the London hub in a matter of months. “As one of the only short-haul, full service carriers at Gatwick, we combine low fares with complimentary food and drink, pre-allocated seats and the opportunity to join the BA Executive Club,” commented British Airways\’ commercial director Robert Boyle.

What is a Realistic Budget for Traveling?
One you can afford – seriously.
Look at how much you earn. What can you put aside for a trip? What are you prepared to sacrifice to make your trip a reality? Maybe you’ve been saving for a while and have a few thousand dollars in the bank. You do? Great. Well that’s your realistic budget. If you want to fly to Europe tomorrow and you only have ten dollars in the bank then you are not being realistic. But it might be enough to get you in to the local museum for a few hours escape.
When you are setting your budget, be practical. Everyone has different needs for their travel experience and if your travel plans include overseas flights, you will need to budget accordingly. Sure you can find great deals and get there cheaper than you might have expected, but make sure you have enough money in your budget to not only get you there but to travel around, find a place to sleep, oh and have enough money to be able to eat!
So how do you go about setting a budget? Following these steps might help:
1. Draw up a table with two columns.

Flying lessons could start you on a path to a rewarding career. Contact your local Flight Training Centre and make arrangements to have a one on one Discussion and a Complementary flight with an accredited Flight Instructor who will answer all your inquires and let you take the controls while on your Complementary Flight to get the feel for flying.
There are a number of Flight Schools, Flight Training Centres and Flight Academies across the country so check them out and find the one that suits your needs.
Many of the Flight Schools specialize in Aviation Lessons such as Commercial Flight Training, Crop Spraying, Helicopter Training Schools, Charted Services as well as Accelerated Flight Training. An Accredited Flying Instructor will be employed at a Flying School who will take you through your Pilot Training and in approximately 100 hours you should achieve your Pilots License.
Your Flight Training can start as young as 13 years of age and should be able to Fly Solo at 16 years.
Take the opportunity to get to your nearest Flight Training School and advance into a Flight Academy and then on to become a Flight Instructor, then the next step could be a Career in Aviation.
Safety in the air is paramount and your Flight School will cover all aspects of safety of the aircraft. This will all be explained to you by your Flight Instructor.
All Airplanes at all Flight Schools and Flight Academies are regularly checked for safety.
You will also be able to join a Flying Club through your Flight School which will cut your learning cost down and also make new friends.
